USA, Inc. announced plans today to locate their first East Coast distribution
operations in Dorchester County. The
company expects to create an estimated 40 new jobs over the next three years.
Lollicup
USA, Inc., the manufacturer of Karat brand products and distributor of coffee
and tea supplies, specializes in high-quality paper and plastic disposable
goods, as well as beverage ingredients. Serving
thousands of retail business accounts, including several Fortune 500 restaurant

Company
officials attribute Dorchester County’s distribution connectivity as the
driving force behind their decision to locate here. Lollicup President and CEO Alan Yu adds, "As

Summerville, SC. In terms of site
selection, Dorchester County is an ideal location with proximity to Highway
I-26 and the Port of Charleston, and direct access to the growing East Coast

July, the company will begin operations in the former Williams Technologies
building located at 420 Industrial Drive in Summerville. The 63,000-square-foot facility is located
near Eastport Industrial Park. Robert
Barrineau and Brendan Redeyoff with CBRE-Carmody, LLC represented the building
owner, and Doug Richardson with Carolina One Real Estate represented Lollicup
USA, Inc.
First opening their
doors in 2000, Lollicup began as a tea and coffee shop chain that has since
evolved into a multi-faceted operation. From
their own line of Tea Zone ingredients that included teas and syrups, to their
popular brand, Karat, affordable paper and plastic disposable goods, the
