Dorchester County has the largest number of employees in
Marine Manufacturing of any county in the state as of 2015. Jobs in the
Marine Manufacturing sector have average annual pay of 21% higher than the
overall average in the county. It’s no wonder than the job growth for this
sector in the county has grown 108% from 2009-2014!
The impact of the Marine Manufacturing sector is substantial
and we are proud to see our industries continue to grow and provide jobs
