December 9, 2010 – Following
the monthly meeting of the Dorchester County Industrial Council, the 2010
Industry Tree was unveiled to many of Dorchester County’s existing
industries. Now in its second year, the
Industry Tree is fast becoming an eagerly anticipated tradition. Decorated entirely with a combination of
company logos, product replicas, and actual products manufactured exclusively
in the County, the tree may be seen in the lobby of the Greater
Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce Visitors Center, 402 North
Main Street, Summerville. 

"We
appreciate our industries donating their products for display in this unique
way. It really showcases the diversity
of the products made in Dorchester County. We also appreciate the generosity of MeadWestvaco, who has donated the
tree for the last two years," said Jon Baggett, Director, Economic
Development.
