Summit
Rubber Company Inc. opened its doors in Summerville, SC in 1982 by John P.
Singleton Sr. fulfilling his lifelong dream of owning and running his own
business. Mr. Singleton founded the company on the premise of making a better
life for his family and he came from a time that a hand shake was your word and
your word is your bond, that tradition continues on today.  The company is now owned by his wife Patsy
Singleton, and managed by their daughter Stephanie Fulkerson, grandchildren
Ryan and Rebecca Fulkerson, and General Manager Sean West.  Family owned and run has been a theme of
Summit Rubber since we opened our doors over 30 years ago.  Along with the Fulkerson’s and West, Plant
Manager Christopher Haynes Sr. has been with the company for 20 years.   His wife Linda Haynes also works in the
production department.  Our maintenance
and quality departments have been run by the Sulser Family for many years,
currently Charlie Sulser and Lanita Sulser. We pride ourselves in manufacturing quality custom rubber and silicone
products and over our tenure in business have provided products to broad
ranging markets.  Our product capabilities
come in all shapes and sizes large and small.  We have the press capability to mold products
up to a 3′ x 5′ final product and the ability to make the most intricate of
parts to the most basic mat.  Our R &
D capabilities make it possible for Summit to walk customers through our
process, starting with design, mold making, material specifications, to the
final product.   Our services range from design and
testing, to materials handling and manufacturing with uncompromising quality
control. We have the ability to produce very small products to very large
products with hydraulic presses that are as large as 48×64. Our thorough knowledge
of materials and processing result in on-time delivery- order after
order. The following is a brief look into the types of products, services,
